Yardistry pavilions are some of the biggest backyard kits sold at Costco and other retailers. The Carolina 11×13 has a cedar frame and a coffee-brown aluminum roof and is about 10 ft 1 in tall, and the Costco 16×14 Timber Frame uses FSC-certified lumber under a graphite-gray aluminum roof, with four metal beam inserts. That kit ships in seven boxes.
Anton Assembler builds Yardistry pavilions for homeowners in Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond. We lift the roof with enough people and anchor the pavilion to the base.

Size and boxes. The Timber Frame arrives in seven boxes. Staging them near the base before the build saves hours.
Heavy beams. Posts and beams must sit square on the base, or the roof will not fit. We check level and plumb at every bay.
The roof. The aluminum roofs are large and are lifted and fastened evenly, with several people.
Metal beam inserts. The Timber Frame uses metal inserts inside the beams. We install them in the order the manual gives.
A pavilion needs a level, firm base: a concrete slab, compacted gravel with pavers or a treated-lumber deck. Heavy posts and beams must sit square on the base, and a large roof catches a lot of wind, so we anchor every pavilion. If you are unsure about your spot, send a photo and we will tell you what to change.
