Lifetime Shed Assembly - photo 1

Lifetime sheds are steel-reinforced high-density polyethylene and sell at Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s and Walmart. The manual for the 10×8 model 60005 asks for three people and says assembly takes 4 to 6 hours on a level surface, and the manual for a 15×8 model recommends at least three people as well.

Anton Assembler builds Lifetime sheds for homeowners in Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond, from the floor to the doors, and anchors the shed to your base.

Quick facts

  • Service area: Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond
  • Sizes we build: 8×15 and other Lifetime sizes
  • Sold at: Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart
  • Typical timing: 1 day for most Lifetime sheds
  • Price: Individual quote, payment after the work is done
If there is something that we have not assembled so far, this does not mean that we cannot do it – everything lends itself to logic!

Lifetime shed sizes we assemble

Lifetime uses a model number for each shed, so send the number from your box and we confirm the size and the parts list.

Size Footprint What to expect
8×15 ft 120 sq ft A long shed with a gable roof. One buyer of an 8×15 reports that it took three people one day.
10×8 ft (model 60005) 80 sq ft The manual states three people and 4 to 6 hours, and says to build a level surface before you start.
Other Lifetime sizes varies Send the model number. We confirm the parts list and crew size before the visit.

What makes a Lifetime shed hard to build

Screw count. Lifetime panels interlock and are fastened with many screws. A first-time builder needs the full day, and the screw sequence matters more than speed.

Doors. The most common complaint with a plastic shed is a door that does not close. It almost always traces back to an uneven base or a panel fastened out of order. We check the base and adjust the doors at the end.

Crew. The manuals ask for three people. We send a crew sized to the shed, so the roof goes up without improvising.

Costco delivery. Lifetime sheds from Costco arrive in large cartons. We offer pickup and delivery if you do not have a truck.

How the assembly day goes

  1. Unbox the shed and sort the hardware against the parts list.
  2. Check that the base is level, then build the floor.
  3. Interlock and fasten the wall panels in the manual’s order.
  4. Set the roof and the skylight or trim panels.
  5. Hang the doors and adjust until they close and lock.
  6. Anchor the shed to the base and do a final inspection.

Base and anchoring

A Lifetime shed needs a level, firm base: a concrete slab, compacted gravel, pavers or a treated-lumber platform. The manual for the 10×8 says to construct a level surface before you start. We anchor the shed to the base so a gust does not move it when it is empty. If you are unsure about your spot, send a photo and we will tell you what to change.

Greenhouse Yardistry (Costco) 6,7 by 7,8 & Pergola PURPLE LEAF 11 by 18
Working with Anton was an absolute pleasure. As a landscape designer, I've collaborated with many installers, but Anton stands out. He handled the greenhouse installation solo and brought in a team for the pergola due to its complexity. Everything was done professionally and on time. I'll be recommending Anton to all my clients!
