Suncast Shed Assembly - photo 1

Suncast resin sheds look simple in the photo, but the build is long. Reviews of the Tremont 8×10 put the main structure at roughly 3 to 5 hours, a listing for the 8×13 Tremont gives about 7 hours, and owners of the Modernist report 7 to 8 hours of focused work. Missing or misfit parts are a recurring complaint.

Anton Assembler builds Suncast sheds for homeowners in Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond. We check the parts first, build the shed in the manual’s order and anchor it to your base.

Suncast shed sizes we assemble

Suncast sells many models. Send the model name and size from the box and we confirm the parts list before we visit.

Size or model Footprint What to expect
8×12 ft 96 sq ft A wide shed for tools and bikes. Based on the 3 to 5 hours reported for the 8×10 and about 7 hours for an 8×13, we plan a full day.
8×10 ft (Tremont) 80 sq ft Reviews put the main structure at about 3 to 5 hours, with some owners reporting missing parts.
8×13 ft (Tremont 2) 104 sq ft A retailer listing gives about 7 hours for assembly.
Other Suncast sheds varies Send the model number and we confirm crew size and timing.

What makes a Suncast shed hard to build

Parts count. A resin shed has many panels and a lot of screws. Reviewers describe having one person read the instructions while others pull the right screws for each step. We sort and label the hardware before building.

Missing or misfit parts. Owners report quality-control problems on some kits. If a part is missing, you want to learn that on day one. We check the kit before we start.

Doors and roof. Small alignment errors show up at the doors and the roof. We check alignment before fastening and adjust the doors at the end.

How the assembly day goes

  1. Unbox the shed and check the parts and screws against the list.
  2. Build the floor and check that it is level.
  3. Lock the wall panels together in the manual’s order.
  4. Set the roof panels and trim.
  5. Hang and adjust the doors.
  6. Anchor the shed to the base and do a final inspection.

Base and anchoring

A Suncast shed needs a flat, firm, well-drained base: a concrete slab, compacted gravel, pavers or a treated-lumber platform. An uneven base racks the walls and the doors stop closing. We anchor the shed so that wind does not shift it. If you are unsure about your spot, send a photo and we will tell you what to change.

Greenhouse Yardistry (Costco) 6,7 by 7,8 & Pergola PURPLE LEAF 11 by 18
Working with Anton was an absolute pleasure. As a landscape designer, I've collaborated with many installers, but Anton stands out. He handled the greenhouse installation solo and brought in a team for the pergola due to its complexity. Everything was done professionally and on time. I'll be recommending Anton to all my clients!
FAQ
How much does Suncast shed assembly cost?

Every job is quoted individually, because the price depends on the model, the size and the site. Send the model, a photo of the spot and your address. Payment is made only after the work is completed.

How long does a Suncast shed take to assemble?

Reviews and listings give 3 to 5 hours for an 8x10 and about 7 hours for an 8x13 when owners build them. Our crew usually finishes a project in 1 day, and we confirm the timing when we quote the job.

Do you assemble Suncast sheds bought at Home Depot or Lowe's?

Yes. The store does not matter, and we can pick up the boxes and deliver them to your yard.

What if a part is missing from my Suncast shed?

We check the kit against the parts list before we start, so a missing part is found on day one and you can contact the retailer or manufacturer.

What base does a Suncast shed need?

A flat, firm, well-drained base such as a concrete slab, compacted gravel, pavers or a treated-lumber platform.

Do you anchor the shed?

Yes. An empty resin shed is light and catches the wind, so we anchor it to the base.
