Veikous sells greenhouses in more than one construction. The 6×8 aluminum kit has a powder-coated frame and a 4 mm twin-wall polycarbonate cover, with an overall size of about 72 by 95 inches and 77 inches high, while other listings under the same name are wood frames with polycarbonate panels. The manual tells you to check that every part matches its label before you start.
Anton Assembler builds Veikous greenhouses for homeowners in Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond. We confirm which version you have, then build it from the manual.
The same size is sold with an aluminum frame and with a wood frame. Send the model name from the box and we confirm which one you have.
| Size | Footprint | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| 6×8 ft | 48 sq ft | The aluminum version is about 72 x 95 x 77 inches overall with one lockable door. The manual adds an overview video and a setup video. |
| 6×12 ft | 72 sq ft | A longer frame with more panels and fasteners. |
| 8×12 ft | 96 sq ft | A roomy size. We confirm whether it is the aluminum or the wood version before the visit. |
| 8×16 ft | 128 sq ft | A listing gives 16 ft long, 8 ft wide and 6.4 ft high. A buyer reports the kit arrived complete with a few extra fasteners. |
Two versions under one name. Retailers list aluminum and wood versions in the same size, and some reviews describe a cedar-type frame on a model sold as aluminum. We check the box, not the listing.
Parts matching. The manual advises that every part be matched to its label before assembly. We sort the hardware first so a missing part appears on day one.
Polycarbonate. The twin-wall panels crack if the fasteners are over-tightened. We fit panels last and tighten evenly.
A Veikous greenhouse needs a level, firm, well-drained base: a concrete slab, compacted gravel or a treated-lumber frame. An uneven base twists the frame and the panels stop sealing. We anchor every greenhouse. If you are unsure about your spot, send a photo and we will tell you what to change.
